How To Unlock Redmi Note 8 Pro bootloader using “MI Unlock Tool”
Bootloader unlocking is essential if you want to Root your device. Or you want to install Custom ROM on any device. The process of unlocking the bootloader of every device is different. But the method which I’m going to show work with all the Xiaomi Device. Hope you guys are enjoying it!
In order to Unlock Bootloader Xiaomi wants your Permission. This process is so long in the past years, but nowadays it’s an easy process.
Create a MI Account and Sync With Mobile Number
If you have already a Xiaomi Account then this process is not for you. But if don’t have an MI account, then create it first. Without an MI account, you can’t unlock the device bootloader.
Make sure your primary number is linked with your MI Account. I suggest you keep aside backup on the MI cloud. For unlocking Xiaomi wants to know your location. For showing the location you have to follow the steps –
Go to the setting>> MI Account >> MI Cloud >> Find Device. For updating your Location you can directly visit [https://i.mi.com] through your PC/Laptop and then Tap on “Find Device“. Next, Choose the Redmi note 8 Pro device.
MI Unlock In The Developer Mode
For this Go to the settings >> About Phone >> Scroll Down and Click on MIUI version about 5 Times. By doing this you’ll see that a developer option appears now. This option will be visible under the addition setting. Now Enable Developer option >> MI Unlock Status >> Add account and Device.
This process takes some time, and make sure your device connect with the internet. Next, Unlock OEM {Inside Developer option} and Enable USB Debugging. The setting which is mention right now you’ll find in the developer option.
Download Mi Unlock Tool
Now Open your PC/Laptop and download MI Unlock Tool, Next, Extract the zip file. Now open the application which you download name ” MI Unlock Flash File “. You have to log in with that MI account which is on your MI device simple!
Now I’m going to start the process of unlocking the Redmi bootloader. For this make sure the downloaded tool (MI Unlock Tool) is updated.
I’m showing you the proper steps by using screenshots. Now Power of your MI device. Wait for a minute now Hold the Power Button + Lower Volume Button. By doing this your device will be in fast boot mode. Now connect your MI device to your PC/Laptop via USB cable.
Now you can see the message that “Phone Connected“. Next, tap on the “Unlock” button to unlock the bootloader.
This unlocking process takes 12 – 14 days to unlock properly, so you have to wait. Might happen the tool will show you the message, “Couldn’t unlock Please try after 168 hours ( 12 – 14 days approx )” In some cases, it takes one or two months to unlock the bootloader.
But sometimes the device bootloader will unlock within a few hours.
Almost every person who wants to unlock the bootloader will face this issue. Don’t try to unlock again and again. Just wait and rest the MI unlock Tool do.

Check MI unlock Status
